What is Cold Brew tea?

COLD BREW TEA

Cold brew tea is made without heating. The method differs from traditional ice making, where hot tea is cooled with ice cubes. Cold brew manufacturing is a rising trend in the world and in Finland. Hot summer days entice you to cool off and freshen up by the tea, not to sweat any more.

Are you the one who rolls the omelet and forgets the morning porridge on the stove? Tea waiting in the cold is a dream solution for everyone who is in a hurry close to everyday life. Cold brew tea doesn’t scare the wait. Where 10 minutes affects the taste of hot tea, even 10 hours does not aggravate cold-extracted tea. On the contrary, cold brew tea brewed in the fridge overnight only gets its rights in the morning.

COLD EXTRACTION

The preparation of beverages by cold extraction is on the surface. However, the method is not a completely new invention. The method has been used since the 17th century in Japan and there it came with the Dutch. A few years ago, cold-extracted coffees came to the surface, and now it’s the tea’s turn.

Cold-extracted tea differs from traditional iced tea. Usually cold tea would be made by boiling in hot water and then cooling. This remedy can be quick, but it doesn’t produce the best taste. When tea is heated and cooled, its structure undergoes two abrupt changes. As a result, the taste of the tea becomes sour or even bitter.

Cold-brewed tea tastes sweeter and softer. It lacks the tannininess of too much brewed tea. In addition, cold-extracted tea has less caffeine and still as much antioxidants as the hot version. Cold brew technology ensures subtle extraction of tea.
